Sports Leadership Level 3 – 1 Year Award
Introduction:
Sports Leadership Level 3 is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to independently lead purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity.
As a student undertaking a qualification in Sports Leadership, you will learn and demonstrate important life skills such as effective communication and organisation whilst learning to lead basic physical activities to younger people, peers, and within the community.
This course will give you the opportunity to learn the skills needed to plan and deliver sessions for specialist community groups as well as schools, and, to develop your knowledge on coaching/leading in different sports. It helps to develop confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with other people and peers.
You will lead sessions in local primary schools and help organise sporting events in the community.
Where does it Lead to?
The Sports Leadership Level 3 Award is a nationally recognised qualification that is great for a personal statement and UCAS applications. Once completed the award will get you 16 UCAS points which you can use in your university applications.
Sports Leadership also looks brilliant on CVs when applying for future jobs. You will gain a massive array of skills and qualities which will make you stand out against other candidates in interviews and gives you plenty to talk about when questioned on your skills and qualities.
Course Detail:
Sports Leadership students have to provide a Learner Evidence Record (LER) for this qualification. You will be assessments by practical observations, questioning of underpinning knowledge and via worksheet completion.

Cost: The cost of the Sports Leaders Level 3 Award is £10 and £5 for students on free school meals. (This is subsidised by the school)
