Motor Vehicle Level 1

Introduction

We are delighted to offer a Level 1 Motor Vehicle course to students in Year 10 and 11. A fantastic (bespoke) building was finished over the summer of 2019 and is now home to our Motor Vehicle Centre. Two groups of Year 10 and one group of Year 11 students are currently studying an SEG (formerly ABC) Level 1 Award in Motor Vehicle Studies. Click here for more information.

This is a great course that offers students a hands on introduction to the automotive industry and the numerous career paths entailed therein. 

The course has four units (all of which are assessed through a multiple choice exam and externally moderated coursework), the topics covered are;

• Working in an automotive industry environment,
• Using engineering materials and skills,
• Remove and re-fit mechanical components,
• Introduction to basic automotive electrical principles.
