This year the theme for Science Week was 'Communication'. This provided the opportunity for pupils in all year groups to take part in innovative lessons to discover the many different forms of communication in our world and how science impacts this. In lower school pupils analysed what material is best suited for communication, how animals communicate and how the brain communicates with the body. Meanwhile, year 10 weighed up the risks and benefits of using mobile phones and year 11 looked at how fibre optics are used for telecommunications. The communication theme was adopted by other Departments for example MFL looked at the Importance of Language for Communication and ICT discussed Internet Safety, Web Blogs and Radio Transmissions.
Thank you to all pupils and staff for making Science Week an enjoyable and interesting experience.
