Welcome to the Slough & Eton Physical Education department.

The school is fortunate enough to have an envious combination of fantastic P.E. facilities, passionate pupils and enthusiastic staff all committed to both competitive fixtures and the participation of everyone during a varied curriculum.

Our sports hall caters for 4 badminton courts, full size basketball matches, 4 cricket nets, trampolining, tennis and even volleyball. Outside we are home to Power League whose eight floodlit 5-a-side and one 7 a-side brand new 3-G Astroturf football pitches are enjoyed by students during lessons and at break time.

Our field hosts football matches in the winter and cricket on our artificial wicket in the summer as well as athletics, softball and rounders. An exciting new build was formally opened in March 2009 providing a custom designed fitness suite fully equipped with 2 treadmills, 4 rowing machines, 2 cross trainers and 4 exercise bikes as well as an array of resistance weights machines all with the luxury of air-conditioning and plasma TV, DVD and Digital Satellite.

We were delighted to open our Dance Studio in September 2008. This asset to the P.E. department is well used by the local community too, the sprung floor, full length mirrors and air-conditioned room is extremely popular. The school development plan further benefited the department in the form of brand new changing facilities, an all-day reception and even a viewing gallery for the sports hall beneath.

At Slough & Eton School we work hard to provide young people with an environment they feel comfortable learning in, where they are safe and able to experiment on their way to developing life long skills ready for a successful career in sport.

P.E. lessons are designed to test and challenge our pupils whilst encouraging teamwork and communication skills. We fully endorse a ‘Sport For All' ethos.
