Language Resource Base
In September 2009 Slough opened a specialist support unit for secondary aged students with specific speech, language and communication needs. This borough wide provision is housed in a new purpose built building at Slough and Eton Enterprise College.
Students who attend the resource base all have a Statement of Special Educational Need for specific language impairment.

The students are fully integrated into all aspects of the mainstream school. They are taught for the majority of the week with their mainstream peers. The students are withdrawn for small group or individual work depending on their needs.

The base is staffed by two specialist teachers a part time speech and language therapist and a learning support assistant.
There are up to 3 students admitted to Year 7 each year. Applications must be made through Slough Borough Council.
